🛒 Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1½ cups sugar
- 12–15 strands of saffron (kesar)
- 2 tbsp warm water or milk (for soaking saffron)
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tsp rose water (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped almonds & pistachios (optional, for garnish)

Prepare Sugar Syrup
In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely and forms a light syrup. -
Infuse Saffron
Add soaked saffron along with its liquid into the syrup. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to release color and aroma. -
Enhance Flavor
Add cardamom powder and rose water. Mix well and turn off the heat. -
Cool & Store
Allow the syrup to cool completely. Store in a clean glass bottle in the refrigerator. -
Serve the Sharbat
Mix 2–3 tablespoons of the syrup in a glass of chilled water or milk. Stir well, add ice, and garnish with nuts and saffron strands.
