🛒 Ingredients
- ½ cup semolina (suji/rava)
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 cups water or milk
- 10–12 strands of saffron (kesar)
- 2 tbsp warm milk (for soaking saffron)
- 3 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp chopped almonds & pistachios

Soak Saffron
Add saffron strands to warm milk and let it release its rich color and aroma. -
Roast Semolina
Heat ghee in a pan and roast semolina on low flame until it turns light golden and aromatic. -
Boil Liquid
In a separate pan, bring water or milk to a boil. -
Cook Halwa
Slowly add the hot liquid to roasted semolina while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. -
Add Sweetness & Flavor
Add sugar, saffron milk, and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook until the halwa thickens and leaves the sides of the pan. -
Garnish & Serve
Add chopped nuts, mix gently, and serve hot.
